Right of Woman to Education and Access to Information PDF Print E-mail

Cairo-: In cooperation with UNDP HIV/AIDS Regional Programme in the Arab States (HARPAS), Sout Al-Arab Radio presented a radio programme on the right of woman to education and access to information as well as the reflection of this on the status of women living with HIV/AIDS in the Arab States. The programme hosted Olfat Allam, Psychology Specialist at Al-Mokattam Hospital for Psychological Medicine.Allam underlined that this right is a fundamental one that contributes to protecting woman from a number of risks, amongst which comes being among groups that are more vulnerable to infection with the AIDS virus.

 
Equality, Gender and AIDS Infection Among Women PDF Print E-mail

Cairo- 25/1/2010: "Sout Al-Arab" interviewed prominent activist and rights persons and Al-Azhar University Faculty of Agriculture Plants Section Head Dr. Mostafa Al-Nabrawi among "Rights of Women and AIDS" radio programme episodes in 25 January 2010. The programme tackled the gap between men and women in the Arab States and the effect of this on increased rates of AIDS infection among women.

Cairo – 18 January 2010: "Sout Al Arab" Radio interviews Dr. Ehab El-Kharrat, HIV/AIDS Regional Programme in the Arab States (HARPAS) Advisor as part of the Radio Programme "Women's Rights and AIDS" to identify challenges facing Arab women regarding possibilities of infection with AIDS and means of protecting themselves.
